Hi All,

One user is  experiencing a situation in SAP where the transaction code entry field defaults to /nsmen at all times he cannot over ride it.

Not able to change it to any other TCODE and the window to enter TCODES always shows /nsmen only. He is logging in through portal. And this is the issue with one user only. It is working fine for all others. But he is facing this issue with every system he tries to login

We advised SAP GUI re install but user need root cause why it is happening before going for SAP GUI reinstall. Please help.

Hello All,

I am installing distributed system SAP Netweaver 7.3 in opensuse 12.3

I have successfully installed ASCS and Database instance. But while installing Primary Application Server, I am stuck at " Start Instance " phase.

When checked R3trans is unable to connect to database (Oracle 11g)

I referred below notes 1639578 and 1622837, as, I don't see any SSFS key in /usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/global/security/rsecssfs/key folder.

When, I see the below details as ora<SID>

0 encrypted

0 plain

records.

Whereas, I see the below details as <SID>adm

1 encrypted

1 plain

file

I am also using below command to create SSFS key using <SID>adm

rsecssfx put DB_CONNECT/DEFAULT_DB_PASSWORD <passward>

it executes without any error, but, I don't see any key file.

Is it storing somewhere else ?

hi there !!

we are encountering XPRA_EXECUTION tp_step_failure return code 12 while importing new patches SAPUI in SPAM. Our SPAM is already at 49 (latest patch level). NW 7.31.

We have tried $sync, restarted the system, suspend all the jobs, this is a new system so there are no SAP notes applied yet so no conflict with that. Checked SPAU and nothing needs to be adjusted/reset due to no notes applied.

Has anyone else seen this issue ? any help would be greatly appreciated

we looked at note 1597765 - spau modifications doesn't apply to us (there's none in system yet)

Recently we have been bugged by a strange issue. In one of our system no mail is getting sent to any address/receipient from SAP.

The error says:

No delivery to ******@***.com, invalid recipient address

Message no. XS806

Diagnosis

The message was processed correctly in the SAP system. However, a subsequent system has rated the receiver address *******@***.com as invalid or unknown and not delivered the message to the receiver.

Information from external system

550 Sender not authorized, message refused

Procedure

Check the receiver address.

All the configurations are in place which includes:

1. SMICM port number and settings are in place.

2. SCOT settings like Mail Host, Default Domains, email IDs are all maintained correctly.

3. IP address of the server is maintained correctly at the Relay Agent of the Mail Host.

I have no clue, searched so many notes, read so many SDN posts, but to no avail. Kindly help me with your valuable comments in this matter.

After many disconnections (Network error of client T59, NiBufReceive) i restart app. server

In OS logs  i dont have errors with network problems or other errors. And dont have errors: max hold time exceed.

Is this network problems?

or with telnet command (see screenshot)

1. undeploy name=xapps~mii~bp vendor=sap.com

2. undeploy name=MII_BUILDT vendor=sap.com

Im installing NW 7.31 on Windows with MsSQL. And Im getting this error while Provision Manager is trying to create users for SAP system( step 3):

Modifying the USER <SID>adm failed. SOLUTION: Modify the account manually and choose OK to continue. The detailed error message is as follows:

I deleted all users regarding the system from ControlPanel>Users account>Manage users and also from environment Variables

we are trying to split our dual-stack GTS system with the DUAL STACK SPLIT TOOL 2.1 SP00. (70DSS21SP00_4-10012223)

In the setup we choose the following option:

     Dual-Stack-Split --> IBM DB2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows --> Move Java Database --> Remove Java Stack from Dual-Stack System

Our SAP Systems are running on an AIX plattform.

While the setup we are entering usernames and passwords and after this step the following error occurs (filename sapinst_dev.log):

We tried the setup several times with different releases of the split tool. It's always the same error.

Unfortunately it seems not the be an authorization probleme, we change the authorization for the setup directory to 777.

Please help us with this problem.

We are considering turning on security logging for Java AS on Netweaver 7.00 for the first time, and would like to hear from anyone with experience of this and if there are any standard setting defaults or proposals we can use. We are also considering activating the Java Security Audit Log and again any experiences and any starting setting we can use would be helpful and gratefully received.
