Open data extraction requests and Transports in import queue during ST-PI update

Hi,

While performing ST-PI patch update on SAP ECC systems. We got open extraction data requests and open transport requests in the import queue. Shall we skip these both steps or do we necessary to check with ABAP team for transports and open data extractions request in the queue?
