Different Kernel Patch Level in one Landscape

Dear Experts,

we have ERP ECC6 in one of our customers landscape (Dev, QAS, Prd)

I have upgraded the Dev system Kernel patch level.

Is it necessary to upgrade the QAS and Prd kernels too? is there going to be any inconsistency? or can i leave them with the old kernels for a temporary time?

Webdispatcher via IP

Dear Gurus

We are trying to work via webdispatcher, using IP adress only, for example:

http://192.168.254.5:8080/sap/bc/nwbc

We cannot logon to abap webdynpro apllicaion, cause FQDN dump.

How can urge the webdispatcher to convert the 192.168.254.5 to FQDN, for example to sapeccdev.mydomain.local at any url prefix?

interim oracle patches

Hello

Had a question regarding upgrading interim oracle patches for SAP systems.

If I want to just upgrade only interim oracle patches for oracle 11g 11.2.0.2 based on Linux 86_64 do I have to apply SAP bundle patches SBP SAP_112029_201302_LINX8664.zip through mopatchor these are not the correct patches.

Basically want to understand if SBP includes only interim patches or some additional things that would also change with it  ?

Thanks !!

problem with automatic posting of large number of CP2000 idocs(basic type COPAGN i.e CO-PA entry).

Hello

We have set automatic posting of CP2000 idocs(basic type COPAGN i.e CO-PA entry).

However it seems that some sent from one system are not received on the other. What could be the reason?

I will check as I think it is in sent in a moment like 300000 idocs.

Also first idocs contain large nr of documents annd then suddenly idocs contain only one document.

Has anyone experience in this area and how to deal with that. What measures to take in order to avoid this?

Thx in advance

Jan

Dear Experts,

I am doing the EHP6 migration from EHP4 i a test server, which is the copy of  our quality server,But while upgrading the kernel the kernel the sapcpe.exe is showing red.Needed advice.

clients are missing in scc4 after migration

Hello all,

I migrated an SAP R/3 Enterprise with no error, but I noticed that some clients are missing. Could it be because they were protected for copy? I just allowed them in scc4 and started the export again, to see if the export folder is bigger than the first one. If this does not work, both export folders have the same size, the previous exported folder and the new exported folder, should I try to do a remote client copy in scc9?

Pls advise

Thx

Chris

SMQ1 - RFC destination does not exist

Hi Folks,

After a system copy from production to QAS the connection between CRM and R/3 stuck.

The CRM team is running some test and the error in the SMQ1 is:

RFC destination does not exist

the process into SMQ1 is pointed to the production RFC.

I have already run the BDLS, created the QAS RFC and fixed SMQS queue.

Does anyone know what else I could do?

problem when extracting newer kernel

Hello

Not having a lot of experience with windows I found problem when extracting SAPEXEDB_402-20006723.SAR and SAPEXE_402-20006721.SAR into H:\usr\sap\BIU\SYS\exe\nuc\NTAMD64 after the upgrade of BI7.0 to 7.31.

Basically the system is running but in mmc I have red for"sapcpe.EXE          Executable copy               could not be started"

What could be the problem for this to happen

Thank you in advance

Jan

Heterogenous System Copy

Hi folks,

One little question. I am going to perform a heterogeneous system copy the database will be changed from oracle to MAX DB.

Is it necessary to have the source and target server? or once I have generated the export file, I can import it in the same server?

thanks

SRM 5.0 to 7.x Upgrade

Hi everyone,

  Background

My customer is migrating all SAP systems to SQL Server 2012. Their SRM 5.0 system is supported on SQL Server 2012 according to the PAM  (it's on NW 7.0 SP26, and we will use the NW 7.21 EXT 64bit kernel). However (according to OSS Note 1651862) they will not be able to upgrade to to products based on SAP NetWeaver 7.1 (including EhP1) and SAPNetWeaver 7.2.

Will they be able to upgrade directly from SRM 5.0 on NW7.0 to SRM 7.0 on NW 7.3 ?

Hi,

I configured the track sync in nwdi cms between N and N+1 tracks.

So that whenever the developer releases the activity for N track, that activity should be available

in Consolidation tab of N+1 track.

But this method is not working in NW 7.31.

Please suggest.

Thanks,

RY

Difficult to delete old PIQ system alerts

Target : We are trying to delete old PIQ alerts .

Reason: Table size will be reduced as effect of deletion hence DB size
will be reduced and performance will be improved.

Unable to delete PIQ system old alert.
We are unable to delete old PIQ alert beyond 505 days.Whenever we are
trying to do so , we get dump "System_No_Roll".

We log into PIQ system , run Tcode SE38 and run report RSALERTPROC .
Thereafter we select no. of days old and run report. We decreased the no
of days for deletion of alert gradually to prevent dump , to the extent
of a single day ,still dump faced.

Also we tried to run Background job for same , it got cancelled.

How to Manipulate BPM Process/Task details

Hello Experts,

I have a requirement.

I have to fetch BPM Process/Task details from NWA to a customized WDJ application and have to perform manipulation operation on those Processes\Tasks via WDJ application itself. Because I have kill active processes/tasks from NWA in bulk amount and as per my knowledge we don't have any option to kill all those active process by a single hit.

Is there any solution/suggestion for this type of situation?

Please let me know..

Thanks in advance!!

Advice required - Adding delivery route

$

Hello Team,

We are currently progressing with our upgrade. As of now we have finished all the non-production systems and final cutover is in weeks’ time.

I have a question related to transport routes.

The transport domain controller is configured in development system and then later we have added Integration system and regression system. As part of the final cutover we will add production system in the route (Delivery route). So after final cutover if we look the track will be

  1. DEV(TDC) à INT à REG à PRD

Now the question is following, when we add a delivery route to PRD from REG will all the transports get added to target system (PRD) buffer automatically?

If yes, how will the sequence be, the same way it did import in previous system (REG)?

(As far as am aware the answer is yes)

It will be highly appreciated if you can also route to SAP notes or SAP documents.

Many Thanks

Praveen Kumar

startsap with a remote db

Hello,

As I have always had the SAP Application server on the same host as the DB, I would like

to know how startsap/stopsap works when the DB instance is on another host.

1. Does startsap/stopsap can still perform the start/shutdown of the remote DB instance?

2. If yes how does it connect to the remote DB to perform these steps?

Thanks in advance for your answers.
