Iam getting the following system log daily in specific time

Database error 54 at EXE

ORA-00054: resource busy and acquire with NOWAIT specified

From the logs, I could see that this log is being generated when there is a background job running in the System but I couldn't see any jobs being cancelled.

Please help me to avoid this error.

Hi All,

   I'm looking for clarification on a possible issue with using Parallel Processing in Batch Jobs.   We have discovered we have 4 Different Batch Jobs that are all executing a Single Step that uses Parallel Processing and all 4 of these Batch Jobs start at the same time.   The parallel processor on all for of these jobs is the same.

  What I'm trying to confirm is the impact of running 4 programs at the same time all using parallel processing and the same parallel processing group.   Logically this appears to be a bad practice but wanted to confirm with the experts as I believe this will cause all available work processes to be consumed based on the configuration of the parallel processing group.

The defined parallel processing group has 6 Servers and they are configured to allow 50% of the available work processes to be used. 
Assuming each server has a total of 100 Work Processes available then parallel processing would allow a maximum of 50 work processes to be consumed.   My assumption is that when the 1st job to reach the parallel processing phase it will be allowed to consume up to 300 work processes based on availability, then next job will then either be allowed to consume the remaining 300 work processes or less, while the last two jobs get nothing.

When going through NWA -> Operation -> Application Manager -> Functionality Overview page in PI 7.4 Java stack we can see the "Advanced Adapter Engine (AF),Advanced Adapter Engine Extended (AEX),Java Foundation, etc" reporting error.

Is this any thing to do with Patch update as we have updated it to SP12.After restarting the server all the services are running properly but afterwards it is reporting error.

For your reference I am attaching the error screenshot.

If this is a known issue then please help on this.

In our new project, there was no SOD matrix. So management told me to prepare one. My query is that is there is any way to find out how many tcodes are used by a particular client/company? Not all 106420 tcodes are used by any single company. That's for sure.

Is there any way to find out what are the particular tcodes used in a company ? Is there any special tables or programs for that ?

N.B : TSTC is showing the full tcode list used in SAP.

Hi All.

Our problem is that ACA note 2211233 got de-implemented during the process of installing HR SP SAPKE600C7. As a result, we get an error "Type 'CX_HRPAYUS_NON_US_EE' is unknown" when we try to implement new ACA notes. In the mean time, we also implemented HR SP C8 and C9. It took some time before we realized the problem. Only C7 and the note contains this type.

My question is, what is the best way to recover from this problem? We either need to bring only that one type in, or rerun the note and all notes following it, or rerun all the service packs. So,

1 - Can we reset the note and run it in again? At this time the note is in "Cannot be implemented" status due to SP C7 being installed.

2 - If not, is there a way to re-implement the SP's using SPAM? (We ran the transports in through STMS, that fixed that one problem, but resulted in many other error messages during the transport phases. We used VMWare's snapshots to revert back to before running the transports).

3 - Any other ideas?

This problem started a while back, so there is a lot of new development work in other areas in this system. Therefor, restoring the system back to before the issue started, is not ideal and is a last resort.

BTW, we use SAP HR 600.

The same configuration is also seen in SAP Hana Admin Guide.

However,

if the source system is SAP system, RFC (type 3 for ABAP, NOT type h) is used for SLT;

if the source system is non-SAP system, DBCON is used.

My question is that why we need to configure webdispatch for http access in SLT?

Especially SAP says hana webdispatch is for XSengine, I do not see XSengine is involved in SLT.

My Server had as crash during installation and when i restart the installtion process it is failing with

We want to go with OS migration of our SAP systems. Our existing SAP systems are HP-Unix with Oracle 11g and we would like to go with VMware SUSE Linux with Oracle 12C as target. Although it is not DB migration.

So my question is what is the best tool will be used for this purpose, like sapinst, DMO, expdp/impdp etc. Also if anyone done this before then can you please guide me which document will be the best document to start with. I am not sure if it is the exact correct forum for OS/DB migration. If not please let me know if there is any forum for OS/DB migration.

We have an issue where Users are unable to log into vimportal approval page as due to the

authentication failure which is due to their samaccount duplicates across

other doamins. We are using AD LDAP as the UME. and we are on NW7.4

DOMAIN1/MYUSER is also present in DOMAIN2/MYUSER,

so in order to resolve this we need to set a filter i believe to get rid of such duplicates, Please let us know if we can do any LDAP configuration steps to eliminate such duplicates or in any of your projects how you have handles such duplicates issue.
