My system is EHP6 FOR SAP ERP 6.0  ABAP running on Oracle server with HP-UX

I am planning to install packages  FINBASIS 606 FINBASIS 736, now the issue is I have downloaded the patches required using  Solution Manager  TCO LMDB  by chossing -> "Go to SAP Software Distribution Center" but it doesnt give me the option for downloading the stack XML file, How do I get the stack XML file now for individule packages?

When I try to install FINBASIS 606 by using TCO SAINT I get this massage:

This Enhancement Package installation must be configured with a Stack XML

You have selected the component versions of "SAP ERP 6.0 Enhancement Package 6" for installation. Installation of these components is only possible if the installation tools are configured using a stack description (stack XML) created by the Maintenance Optimizer of SAP Solution Manager. Only this garantees that the installation is executed consistently.

System Response

The installation is not continued.

Procedure

Use Maintenance Optimizer to create a stack description for the installation of the "SAP ERP 6.0 Enhancement Package 6". Then restart the installation using the stack description. The installation note gives information on installing and creating the stack description in Maintenance Optimizer.

I have installed the SAP NW7.0 on RHEL 5 X-64 . This installation contains the Java as well as the Abap stack on the same server.

After installation i am not able to connect to the Visual Adiministrator as it reaches only 99%.

after investigate we found that i use jdk1.6 and needed JDK 1.4.2_08 for that but in oracle site i did'nt found JDK 1.4.2_08 so please provied me the location so that i can download for the same.

and after download we have to uninstall the JAVA stack or ABAP+JAVA both?

Dear all,

I have in my production system a transaction that increased in the response time 645%.

I have the average time showing the increase, but I  need to know more exactly if the transaction executes normally and only once very long, or it always has a high response time.

In conclusion, I am not interested in the average time, but more to see how the response time exceeded to such a high value.

Is there any possibility to check that ?

Hi All,

We have a requirement  to integrate SAP  to FileNet.

Our requirements is to be able to store a SAP Form, the SAP Invoice, in FileNet, and retrieve it at any time.

We don't know how to start ... we are thinking in:

1st. Customizing in SAP. We should first archive SAP invoice in SAP. Is that true?

2nd. When SAP Invoice is a SAP Arhived object, send it to FileNet. But ... how?

Could anyone help us?

During Activation also we selected with Demo Data.

We are upgrading the java engine from SP5 to SP12,during the process it

has updated JSPM/SDM and JSPM is supposed to restart the J2EE Engine.

but the SDM failed to start with the below error

Hello All,

We need help regarding the Web dispatcher installation and configuration on remote systems.

1. We have to install Web Dispatcher on a seperate server lets say Server1 with IP: XXX.XXX.XX.01 and now the action plan is to integrate it with the other server say Server2 with IP: XXX.XXX.XX.02 on which SAP system is installed.

2. Now the workflow has to be in such a way that, if an URL for example: www.example.com:<port> is accessed from the outside internet it has to first go to the internel firewall and then to Web Dispatcher (server1) and finally it has to redirect it to the actual SAP system (server2).

Outside internet --> Firewall --> Web Dispatcher (server1) --> SAP system (Server2)

Could anyone please guide us the steps if this configuration is possible?

Hi Experts,

after installing two application server (1x java, 1x abap) i wanted to test if the sapinit-script (/etc/init.d/sapinit) on our linuxserver is working.

After stopping (/etc/init.d/sapinit stop) and starting (/etc/init.d/sapinit start) both application server (processes) are running again. My problem is the diagnostics agent also installated on this server. After restarting with sapinit only a sapstartsrv for the DAA is started and nothing else happens. Manually starting the DAA is possible. The parameter "Autostart = 1" is writen in the profile of the DAA. Furthermore the DAA is writen in the sapservices-file and both the DAA and the hostagent have the latest patchlevel.

Could anyone think of a solution for my problem? Did I ignore something?

We have deployed & configured biller direct on our system. We have ABAP

development system D11 & we have installed new java system J11 . Biller

direct is deployed on system J11 & XCM configuration is done. We have

decided to create user in our ABAP system for BD & hence

FI_Userinterface

configuration is done in XCM. Also we have set parameter user named

connection to 'yes' as we gonna use users from our ABAP system.

UME of our java system J11 is mapped with backend ABAP user data (ABAP

is

a data source) hence backend users are present in UME.

Not when I am trying to login to BD link http://host name:port/bd using

my own ID & password in ABAP it is giving me below error.

"Your user master has not been created correctly. Contact your system

administrator".

I have assigned SAP_ALL to my user in ABAP. Should we do some

configuration in UME also?

Hi,

Got the attached error when trying to do export preparation step in EHP 6 ECC 6.0 with SQL server 2008 on windows server 2008. Master password had special character (@), changed the SIDadm and SAPServiceSID password to have just uppercase, lowercase and number. Still error continuous.

Dear Experts,

A week a go we have hardware problem (motherboard) on our BW Production which run on SUSE 11. After being fixed, the vendor guy upgrade BIOS version to -[G0E177AUS-1.77]- (IBM System x3850).with OS level stays on 2.6.32.49-0.3-default.

After the upgrade, we have an issue everytime we restart the server, it seems to be freeze during a certain step, after we do some manual steps, the system is up and running normally.

In such case, what do we need to do in order to fix the issue? do we need to upgrade patches or else?

The system logged the following message:

I'm planning to migrate a SAP ERP 6.0 SPS 6 (so this release is even earlier than SR1 if I understand correctly). The platform is Windows x86_64 on a Oracle database. The source system is Windows 2003 and I'd like to migrate to Windows 2008 R2.

Usually a migration is no big deal, it's just a system copy. But this time for this system I have a doubt because I looked for a System Copy guide relevant to this system and I can't find it. I can only find this guide: http://service.sap.com/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000670917&_SCENARIO=01100035870000000202&_OBJECT=011000358700001419452012E . This is for the system copy with SWPM 1.0, but it says at page 5 it's relevant only for Netweaver 7.0 SR3 and higher.

I've also found note https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/926085 which is for Netweaver 7.0 SR1: it says it's now outdated and the guide it refers to is no more available.

I'm a bit surprised because NW 7.0 ABAP should be supported up to the year 2020, regardless of SPS, if I understand correctly what the PAM says.

So my question is: can I copy my system following the above mentioned guide? If no, what is the supported system copy procedure for this kind of system? Where do I find the documentation?

Hello All,

This is regarding the issue I face while stopping SAP instance from CI box(SAP MMc in windows).

In our  SAP system, CI & DB are installed in one box & additional application server in another box.

While installing SAP, both central system & application server were installed in same domain(Domain installation)

But when I try to stop both instances from CI box SAP MMC, application server is not getting stopped.
The error message says, invalid credentails.(while entering credentials i have mentioned DOMAIN\username).

Can anyone suggest why this is happening and how can I correct it?

I am about to start EHP upgrade on this sytem and wondering whether this issue will cause problem during upgrade.

I tried to restart the SAP instance service from services.msc in application server box.
It is not getting started now.

Hi,

Due to some issues, I have to rename 2 datafile.

The rename was successful, but when I check DB02, it shows junk characters in one of the datafile.

I checked alert log, but could not see no error in the same.

Also, at file system level, it looks ok.

Kindly look into the same and guide me on the same.
