Dispatcher problem

Hi guys,

 

I have an issue with an EHP7 System. This system was working fine but suddenly when I try to start the SAP system via SAPMMC the "dis+work.EXE" process state gets yellow:

 

disp+work.EXE            Dispatcher            Request handling without progress

 

Log information in the trace file:

How to limit background job's numbers of end-users

Dears,

 

Users always need run many Background Jobs at the day,but I heard other

company almost only allow users run Background Jobs at the night.

Generally, how many background jobs running on one Instance is normal?

Do we have any good ways to control or limit users' background job

setting at the day ?

We are getting the following dump in production system -SAP ECC 6.0.

The wp s are getting terminated automatically as shown in dev_disp file.

How many work processes should be configured for each instance ?

Dears,

 

General, how many work processes you configured for your each instance?

 

For example, how many dialog processes , background processes , update processes will be configured respectively in your Central Instance

 

and Dialog Instance ?

 

Currently, our CI configured 80 dialog processes and 6 batch processes and 6 update processes, and DI configured 50 dialog processes and 10 batch processes and 5 update proceeses .

 

I want to increase some background processes in CI , but I don't konw if it will impact the system performance, what's the rate between Dia:Batch:Upd ?

problem with duplicate forms print

Hi, I am using vf03 to print some invoice forms.

I need to print two pages(1 original & 1 duplicate)

 

However, when I issue the output to printer & go on to the print spooler to preview the forms, both pages are listed as duplicate.

 

Can anyone tell me what is wrong and how I can go around to resolve it?

Upgrade: When is CVERS updated from UVERS

Hello World,

 

I need to check out asap if our current EHP7 upgrade run, will "run" into the same problems as the last one.

That first time around the upgrade stopped, after over 5 days, in step "Postprocessing" when the entries in CVERS didn't match up with UVERS.

I need to know, and neither Google nor SAP provide a clear cut answer to this question, when exactly (which phase of what step) the entries in CVERS/UVERS are finalized - and if it will be in the Source or Shadow system.

Because I need to know *before* we reach "Postprocessing", if I'm just waisting time here (again).

 

By now I am rather frustrated with all these time consuming uncertainties and can only hope that at least I can do some practical manual checking *before* I have a repeat of last time around.

I am working on EHP 7 upgrade and currently at Extraction phase of SUM tool. There are numerous issues i have faced and resolved one by one. now i got stuck in this error

R3trans -d returns following error (note: everything is normal at MMC and i am able to login SAP asusuall)

 

This is r3trans version 6.24 (release 741 - 10.06.14 - 20:14:07).

unicode enabled version

2EETW169 no connect possible: "connect failed with DBLI_RC_LOAD_LIB_FAILED."

r3trans finished (0012).

 

i have checked/ tried the following things but did not help

1. dbms_type is correct and check other parametrs aswell

2. downloaded latest dbmssslib.dll and tried replacing but did not help

3.replaced r3trans and TP with new patch level

4.checked scn for similar posts

 

please help me resolve this issue

WF-BATCH memory consumption keeps growing

Hi,

 

I am faced with a unique issue in a Netweaver ABAP system.

 

In SM04, i see two lines for user WF-BATCH (used for all workflow and background jobs).

 

Each line item shows over 1 GB memory consumed and this number keeps growing every day.

 

On looking at memory details, it seems the roll area is growing.

 

I don't know what data is inside that memory . We don't have any long running background jobs or dialog processes.

 

Is there any way to find out what's going on ?. I already tried basic tracing, but that did not help much.

Database Instance is disappeared in SAPMMC

Dear All,

 

I have changed some profile parameters in RZ10 and performed a server restart. After restart, the database instance of ABAP system is disappeared. The service SAP<SID>_00 is started normally. The ABAP instance can be showed every time when SAPMMC start. The SQL Server is working normally. The database instance of Java system is connected. Only the database of ABAP is missing. Is there any service related to the database instance need to start? Can we add back the database to it in SAPMMC?

 

We have already run sapstartsrv.exe to uninstall the service and re-install it again. The situation is the same. ABAP instance is list without the database. We have also replaced the file in \usr\sap\BID\SYS\profile to previous version. It still not work.

Could you please help to advise the solution? Thanks.

How reliable is SAPupStat.log?

Hello World,

 

got the EHP5ERP6 -> EHP7ERP6 upgrade from hell going here, and step Preprocessing has been churning away for three days straight(!)

SAP is, as usual, of next to no help in figuring out reliable ETA estimates.

I want to know how reliable the time stats in SAPupStat.log are for predicting the ETA on this roaster.

 

We got mild swapping on OpSys level (~300MB), a ~600GB MaxDB DB and an 8CPU Server with 15GB RAM.

The hardware isn't too fascinatingly fast, but the claim of that SAPupStat.log file that it plans to keep on going like this for another three days (2014/08/12 11:56:36:  55.51% LEFT: 78:24:51 END: 2014/08/15 18:21:27) is just ludicrous.

 

I set MaxCPUs to 4 in the database and the cache buffers show 98%-99% hit ratio.

For the life of me I can't figure out why this thing is crawling like that, but this delay gets us close to meltdown "speed".

 

Anybody got any suggestions on this one?

Zebra ZM400 SAPScript barcode and text too big for label

Hi,

 

We are trying to install and configure a Zebra ZM400 label printer in SAP.

On Zebra Z4M printer the text and barcode fit on the label.

When printing the label with same script on ZM400 200dpi or 300 dpi the text and barcode are too big to fit.

Have tried various SAP drivers always same result. When printing with SAP Frontend (default Zebra installed on Windows 7) same result as with SAP drivers.

Setting the width and height off the label within the printer settings (windows) or in the SAPscript there is no effect. Even when selecting for inverted image (180 degrees) in printer preferences(windows) there is no change.

 

The whole image is 20% larger then it should. Tried to install 200 and 300 dpi driver (sap and windows) but didnt help.

 

Any suggestion on how to fix this?
