Hi experts.

We have a Netweaver PI 7.4 (JAVA) installed on Linux and Sybase ASE, and we did a new installation of an ABAP system on the same host.

But after the second installation,  PI does not start more.

The ports of sybase were changed, and there is directories for each system.

Any idea?

I have faced a problem with the report smigr_create_ddl.

On our machines with SAP_BASIS 701 SP13, the output is corrects.

On our machines with SAP_BASIS 701 SP15, the output is, SQL files are:

What I mean is the index creation instructions are empty.

I have note found any note to solve this problem.

How could I solve it?

I do have an issue. In my dual stack system, SAP NW Java stack is responding to 2 ports 8000 and 50000. The port 8000 is also responding for ABAP system. I guess it is a problem, what is the best way of solving it. I want to remove the port 8000 from my java stack. It should only respond to my 50000 port.

hi Everyone,

I am upgrading my current ECC 6 EHP 6 system to EHP7. I got stuck in the Pre-processing phase "imports included Add-on and Support Packages into the shadow tables and the new tables". there is no error but it is runnign for more than 15 hours now. i dont even see a latest log showing its progress. The logs got updated 14 hours ago and there is no update after that.

The shadow instance was down. Main instance is up and running and no Jobs running. I manually started the shadow instance and checked if that will help . but no use. so restarted the SUM tool. it gives a different problem now. I have listed out the current probelms below. please check and advise

1. SUM tool shows, "ABAP- Starting handshake" - SAPUP.Out erro message (ERROR in GUI communication: Error in network interface: NIEINVAL (0/53 written))

2.Shadow instance up and running but while trying to login from GUI,it says "rabax during SAPGUI logon". i can see all its WP in 'waiting' status at the OS level

3.in DB02, "oldest Open Transaction" shows Aug 15 2014 10:30 PM, which means this transaction is there at the DB level for more than 16 hrs now.

Please help trouleshoot and resolve this. useful inputs will be rewarded immediately

Hi ALl, We have been having intermittent issues with printing (more specifically BOL printing) on both ECC production  & Watre house production server recently. These issues occur at random hours and resolve themselves before the teams have had an opportunity to troubleshoot in detail. Also, both the Basis and hosting teams have analyzed the logs but haven’t reached a definite conclusion. Procedure used in printing: An outbound queue is created and processed in Warehouse Production and passed to ECC PRoduction. In ECC PRod an inbound queue is processed to update and trigger the shipment document. When the shipment document is completed it then triggers the print of the BOL output from the shipment. Then and only then is anything sent to the print queue.  AND it will be with user id = ALEREMOTE. The other printing works fine. Any thought..will be highly obliged.. Regards, VIcky

In ECC Production, F.27 Transaction is running foreground morethan 45 minutes and it got terminated due to timout error,

But same report executed and completed background within 01 Min, Report also fine.

I don't how it get completed, Anybody have this idea?

I´m doing an update support packges activity in our Solution Manager 7.1 SR1 system, the SPS12. I´m doing this activity with the latest version of SUM tool, but now I´m stucked in the Preprocessing phase MAIN_SHDIMP/SUBMOD_SHD2_RUN/RUN_RSGEN

This phase is taking so long time... is an endless phase, this is running in this same phase at two days!

I see in SM37, in the shadow instance, two endless jobs:

- RSPARAGENER8M

- RSGEN_GENER8_SHADOW

I also checked two log files in the SUM directory:

- RSGEN.SM1

- RSGEN.LOG

I see in the file RSGEN.LOG the following entries:

A4 ETSGEN 312 Job "RSPARAGENER8M"("17235500") for machine type "562" still has "73626" object(s) to process

In the SAP note 1878193 (Central Note - Software Update Manager 1.0 SP10 [lmt_006]) I read a notification regarding this type of message:

We have configured the saprouter with a VPN, the test connection in SM59 is OK.

When I try to start  "R/3 Support" in SAP Support Portal, the SAP Service Connector gives me the message: "The service connection has been opened successfully." but SAPRouter status does not get "connect", it keeps on "Host did not respond x times".

How can I find the problem? If the SAP Connector shows me "The service connection has been opened successfully."?

There is a background job running very slowly, Abaper debuged  that found it is very slow when select table 'NAST' in program, detail sentence as below:

but in the test system it runs very fast, the NAST table data is 49000000 entries in production system and 44000000 in test system.

we have done the update statistics  for this table and implement SAP Note 1020260 , but performance is still very slow .

some untranslated texts appear in German, but according to all settings

they should be in English!!

It fixed some problems like "Transaction does not exist" error is now in English.

For example LSMW first screen shows "Projekt" instead of "Project" in BG session.

When I use English session it is OK.
